Billing Information
Electric bills are mailed to all members of the Northern Neck Electric Cooperative on a monthly basis. There are approximately 30 days in each billing cycle, depending on holidays and unforeseen circumstances.
Payment Due Dates -
Bills are due and payable in full upon receipt of the monthly statement. Failure to receive an electric bill does not relieve the member of the responsibility of making payments. All bills not paid by the due date incur a late payment charge. When the due date falls on a holiday observed by the Cooperative or on a Saturday or Sunday, the payment period will be extended through the next business day.
Payment Options
Bills may be paid at the Cooperative's office at 85 St. Johns Street, Warsaw, Virginia during normal business hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Payment may be in the form of cash, check, money order, or bank draft. After normal business hours, payments may be placed in the night deposit box located beside the drive-through window in front of the office building. You can also use our EZPay method to pay your bill online or by calling (866)538-2997. Do not send cash through the mail. Cash is only accepted at the Cooperative's office - our personnel do not accept cash payments in the field.
Second-Party Notices
This service allows for a second party to be notified of the potential discontinuance of electrical service. This service can be utilized by the elderly or disabled to ensure that a friend, neighbor, or relative is notified if service is nearing disconnection.
Levelized Billing
The term "budget billing" is being used less as it implies paying the same set amount each month. With the levelized method, the amount can vary from month to month, but the variance is small compared to regular billing. Once a customer is placed on the levelized plan, they will continue to be billed as levelized until the customer requests to be removed or at the discretion of the Cooperative.
